you hear everyone saying support our troops, fighting for freedom etc. is that the case, or are out actions cases of war profiteering, empire building, resource exploitation, dominance of power, america hegemony?
how many nations are we in? answer: over 150!! and World war 2 and the Korean war never ended: we have around 57,000 troops in germany, 33,000 in Japan (each a top 5 world economy), 27,000 in S Korea.
why are we in Afghanistan when so many other nations aren't? others aren't because it's really not that big a terrorist threat to the world?
we went into Iraq because of Hussein? the atrocities going on in Sudan at the same time were worse than Iraq, but Sudan doesn't have enough oil?
what happened to bin Laden dead or alive?
and of course the rich send the poor (what's the average socio economy of the military?) to do the '"defense'" of America so that the rich can have more power, money, resources etc (Haliburton et al).
i know a lot of this has been said but it needs to be out there more
